Kung Fu Pop - Bad dance theater?

coming near you….in China…with Poppin Hyun Joon. Usually, dance films are never good…but with Hyun Joon in there, something should be good about it.

Poppin Hyun Joon.

Some girl named Fan Bing Bing?…who’s hot…in a scary sort of way in these images.

Chopd + May Doni

Looks like Kim Jong Il & a Mafia’s Daughter from New Jersey….

…..with the beats sounding like Justin Timerlake’s “My Love.”

is it a bad thing?  maybe…

Amp - Heosooabi

I have no clue who these guys are, but the animation in this MV is hot stuff. I can’t tell if they used a 3-d animation program or After Effects. It kind of reminds me of…

There’s a mix of different concepts in the Amp video though, not just the story book look. Whomever made it must have taken months.

It’s a nice song…despite sounding like they stole a few chords away from the Smashing Pumpkin’s “Today.”

Wonder Girl - Charice Pempengco

The vocal powerhouse of musical destruction is back! on some Korean show I don’t watch…Star King something. But it’s recent!

When it comes to naming their Kids, Koreans sure don’t have the creativity Filipinos do.

Nam Hyun Joon Popping to Wonder Girls

S.Korea’s Michael Jordan of Poppin, Nam Hyun Joon….pretty entertaining stuff. I’m sure if the actual Wonder Girls could mimic that routine they’d get a little less hate mail from those no-talent “anti-fans” looking to pick on them for being untalented.

Rihanna and Boa seem to have something in common…

The voluptuous songstress, Rihanna, is experiencing what Boa has been talking about.

Rihanna says fame has made her lonely and unhappy

31 December 2007 (Bang) - The Umbrella singer revealed her rise to success has been painful as she has been exposed to the “dark” side of celebrity.

Rihanna said: “Fame is lonely. At first, I was on an adrenaline high - this is my dream. I’m actually doing it, it didn’t phase me that I was alone, that I wasn’t with the people I love. But after a while it gets repetitive and that is when you think,’Oh wow, I am sitting in a hotel room once again, just me and the television.’

“When you are in the spotlight, people are like, ‘What do you have to worry about?’ They forget that the success is one great aspect of your life, but behind that there are problems, there are dark sides, there is loneliness and unhappiness.”

The 19-year-old star also admits she has struggled to make true friends in the music business because she can’t trust any one.

She added: “In this business people are shallow, they are dishonest. You can’t trust them.

“I have always had a thing for reading people. When I come into contact with a situation or a person, the first thing I do is just sit quiet for a little while. I sit and watch you.

“It really helps me to understand how to play the game, and sometimes you have to play it. It is a game that really sucks.”(source)

Why is this important? It’s not really, I just find it interesting. I guess the only difference between the two is that Rihanna has to worry about people stabbing her in the back…while Boa has to worry about not passing out from exhaustion or…

I’ve seen responses where people say that they should “just suck it up” because they have everything. I don’t think these pedestrians really understand what sane popstars go through. Although they do live the good life, that doesn’t mean their sacrifices as normal people isn’t a big deal compared to what they’ve gain. Simple freedoms and pleasures, like being left along, is a luxury for even me.

Hyori the scapegoat

korean-celebrity-hyori-1.jpg

I wonder how many death threats and forms of harassments Hyori, a living Korean brand name, has received in a lifetime? Probably more than U-Nee considering she’s still alive and kicking. One thing is for sure, she’s one tough girl to endure so much scrutiny and yet still go out there as an open target just to fulfill her obligation as a working entertainer.

It’s kind of a nice middle finger to all those who disapproves every little thing she does and wears. If that is in fact what’s on her mind then I’d consider her one of the coolest Kpopstars ever.

I just find it sad that when she was in FINKL, everyone loved her. Now, since she’s so exposed in the media and advertising, people would rather bash her and pretend they know who she really is. Calling her a whore, slut, and skank simply because she’s wearing clothes that are in context with an event or dance choreography.

I don’t really care for her as an entertainer nor do I drool over her like most simple minded guys who are humble enough to admit that she’s a good looking woman. However, I do find her to be quite the Marylin Monroe of Korea who probably won’t be a tragic story because she’s tougher than those who have already succumbed to idiotic Korean Netziners.

Psy’s secret identity

200712130016_00.jpg

Psy, a dumpling size kpop singer that has crush on Boa, is about to redo his military service. Apparently, he tried to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes…so he can go and tranform into a little pecker and warn everyone about the aliens.

Chicken Little to the Rescue! he looks like a chicken….doesn’t he? :^p

Dragon Ball casting continues…

and Joon Park from G.O.D. will be helping bring another anime to life.

yamcha.jpg

“Heroes” actress Eriko Tamura, who plays Mai, and newcomer Joon Park, who plays bad boy Yamcha, are also coming aboard the film…

Park is a former member of the Korean pop group G.O.D., one of the highest-selling acts in Asia. His credits include the upcoming film “Speed Racer” where he plays a Yakuza driver. He is repped by Essential Talent Management in Los Angeles and JYP Entertainment in Korea. (source)

Hmmm…I don’t know. Park Joon isn’t really the pretty boy Yamcha started off as being. I’m not even sure he can pull off the shy-around-girls, bad boy persona. If there’s anything this film needs to retain is the manga’s sense of humor and Yamcha was kind of funny, like Sanji from One Piece.

What makes Boa so intriguing…

is how articulate she is. Unlike her American counterpart that everyone compares her to, she is able to recognize danger. She can step back and question her actions instead of self-destruct by marrying a wigger, have kids she can call mistakes, and shave her head in order to pass a few drug tests before heading to court to spend time with those same kids.

“I do not feel as happy doing what I am doing now. To put it more exaggeratedly, I think I might have lost myself, my sense of belonging, in the midst of working.”

These words let slipped by BoA, who has been active as a front runner in the entertainment scene, were both shocking and surprising to the people around her…..

“It was probably after the release of my compilation album (Best Of Soul), that I began to lose my aim in life. I guess in a way, it was having to work constantly with no breather in between each moment, that made me feel that way. From time to time, I will think back and reflect, whether I am being too contented with what I have now. Honestly, I always wonder what will happen to me if I were to give up singing one day, but because singing has been my life, the thought of it is enough to just jolt me back to my senses that I need to go on with singing. But I guess it is the fact that I hadn’t have a break for so long that it is making me burnt out.”

“There’s still 4 more years to when I am 25 years old. Maybe I will really go abroad to study then. I want to study English and also take up ballet, these are what I feel are important and essential to me. Besides, I can still do recordings even when I am studying.” (source - atlantis-x@soompi.com)

If there’s one celebrity kids should look up to, it’s Boa. She’s intelligent, hardworking, and level headed, more so than the people who takes her success as an insult to their own life.  And for a 21 year old, she has pretty much done everything to the point where being 22 can be considered retirement age. With the bank she made, she could buy her own little island and escape the insanity that can be found on this planet or just disappear for a while. It’s good though, that she wants to be productive by wanting to study ballet and maybe economics. I still consider her Korea’s little sister and I hope her the best.
