Drifters Crew ShowCase

And there you go….I’ve been asking for something like this for quite some time. Free-styling with Nongak Dancers.

Extreme Crew - International BOTY 2007

A showcase of power galore. I’d have to agree with some critics….there was too much power and not enough style during the final battle between Extreme Crew and Turn Phrase.

R-16 Korea Sparkling 2008

R16 - Korea’s biggest B-Boy Event

With hundreds of the best b-boys and b-girls representing 16 crews from 14 different countries, R-16, Seoul’s second annual international breakdancing championship, is an unparalleled event created by Charlie Shin and John Jay Chon. Episode 88 packs the two days of competitions into a kinetic experience of skill, energy and a love for the artform. From the slo-mo pop rocking of Japan’s Hamutsun Serve to Korea’s own Drifterz and Rivers, it’s a portrait of the amazing cultural styles that have emerged in today’s global b-boy scene

John Jay Chon, the Don King of Korean B-boy….but with a heart of gold. I almost had him send over a few Korean Bboys to Kollaboration…but it got too expensive. :-T

Hamutsun Serve

Planet B-Boy: Korea

This is new….

Korea is a b-boy phenomena country. They are relatively new in the b-boy scene but they have come up so quickly, especially in the technical aspect of the dance, also known as power. Watch as Korean tradition collides with b-boying! For more info please visit http://www.planetbboy.com.

Shows have been extended everywhere……soooo…go watch it!

Prepix (korea)

wait for the ending…..wait for it…..wait for it…..or just fast forward to 00:59. So nice…

And another version of dancing with masks…but by these guys and not the Jabbawookies.

And after reading some of the comments left by other viewers….apparently, this group is what influenced the Jabbawookies and their masks. I actually don’t really care who borrowed what from who because it’s not that important. What a cool performance…

B-Boy Born & a Street Fighter analogy

B Boy Born

Well known for hitting each beat and actually dancing to the music…but I just like how he cuts people off so they can’t do their thing. (01:13)

And the PLANET B-BOY OFFICIAL TRAILER…

And I will go see it…… :-D

Freaking A…I’m trying to learn the names of all the bboy moves and styles, but there’s so many. I think I’ll just stick to, “that’s COOL” and “ooooooooooooo.”

Now that I think about it some more…bboying is like Street Fighter. You have those different styles, moves, combos, and button mashing to the beats. Each bboy comes from a certain dojo….or studio, where a sifu teaches them the foundation. Then when they are ready, they go out and develop their own style so they can compete in world tournaments. While other people probably prefer actual kung fu stuff or mixed martial arts….I prefer two bboys battling it out. It’s just as intense, physically demanding, and has a better soundtrack.

T.I.P.(S.Korea) vs Dream Team Japan…

Sadly…I can’t tell which team belongs to which country. I’m trying to look for BBoy Snake’s signature twisty thing he does with his torso and legs….

but if I had to guess…..RIGHT SIDE is T.I.P., but…the crowd is cheering for them even though it’s a “Japanese Show”… hmmmmmmm

Part 2

Part 3

actually….T.I.P. is on the ride side, I’m sure of it! Part 1 (00:3 8) looks like Snake Boy. Plus, the routines looks like T.I.P.

Korean B-Boy Crew wins on CNN

Even outlasting France and shady judging. w00t!

Teamwork.Is.Perfect represented Korea.
