*Behind the Scenes..so freakin Cool*

With “Viacom” permission…Heroes star Hayden Panettiere and her brother, Jansen Panettiere, are fans of “America’s Best Dance Crew” and even visited a taping of the show at Sony Studios in Los Angeles. YoungHollywood.com was there for the reaction of dance crew “Jabbawockeez” to the star watching their performance and Hayden tells us why she’s excited to see them! Hosted by Jill Wilderman.

World Dance Tour 2008 Jabbawockeez LIVE. I was wondering what happened to them…

I guess all these vids are from a Break8 member…

America’s Best Dance Crew - Episode 7

If Status Quo wins the title as Amerca’s Best Dance Crew…not only will the show become a complete joke, the terrorists of bad taste have won! Status Quo constantly makes mistakes and when they don’t, they end up having the worst choreography compared to everyone else. Sure, they can bounce off walls and hang onto each other like a jungle gym, but once they get stepping….even the judges point out that they aren’t about dancing at all. I can just tell during their critique on this episode, the judges wanted to say, “you fools got lucky.”

Status Quo’s what’s-his-face-leader, said he wants to prove they “belong here.” Sorry fool, you don’t belong “here” at all based on all your past performances. The best dance crew should be consistently good, and you were never that.

America’s voters better have some damn sense before the next show and vote for the Jabbawockeez. And to all those who are supporting Status Quo, I’ll say it again….you guys are eeeeeeeeeeeee-diots! You should realize that Iconic dances better than Status Quo. If you guys end up helping them win despite so many flawed performances, it’ll be because you just rather see them win rather than give the better dance crew their due. Shame on you.

America’s Best Dance Crew - Episode 6

Well, there goes my prediction, it’s no wonder I don’t bet on sport games. So much for being the most “versatile” group, aye Breaksk8? They should have reinterpreted “Dream Girls” into “Dream Boys…” and use a masculine “sexiness” that seems to turn on Shane. They could have even put the idea into the judges heads during their intro, so they could actually think about it. Breaks8 do deserve respect though for what they are capable of doing…even from me. While I may not consider them special, since all their hardest moves were when they weren’t using their skates…they are smoother than Status Quo who hop around to bootleg happy hardcore beats.

Yuri Tag seems to be Kaba’s lucky crutch. Despite her messing up, the fact that she’s a cute Asian girl will get her team votes from regular Joes. So her fan-boys better unite! Yuri is even crying, don’t let her down! And how did Kaba get less votes than Status Quo? It’s one thing if they got less votes than Jabba, it’s another to label them as one of two groups with less votes than the Status Quo. I can only assume that people gave Status Quo more votes, Fysh & Chicks fans went over to Jabba’s bandwagon, and UCI is on spring break…..

I’m actually getting tired of all these “challenges.” It’s making the show boring….just let the groups do their own thing, pick their own music, and share their own inspirations. I’m sure the challenges makes it easier on deciding who to eliminate at the end for the judges, but still….it’s getting uninspiring. I just hope in future shows, they don’t come up with bright ideas like…”Kaba Modern, use some of Status Quo’s antics as part of your choreography.”

I actually like the show’s intro instead of each team’s performances, especially at 00:27

Jabba should win the whole thing, despite still having the same energy level each time. I’m still hoping Mike Song and the Brat Pack will come through. Also, since there were only 4 groups left…why aren’t the performances getting longer? Either there are more commercials or the show is getting shorter….isn’t it about time to elongate the performances a bit?

America’s Best Dance Crew - Episode 5

Mike Song for the win. I think it would have been funny if they wore orange jump suits as a reference to the Filipino prison’s version of “Thriller.” And for the first time, I’ll admit it…Yuri was pretty hot in this performance considering how much fun she seemed to be having.

hmmmm….can’t decide who did better, since they both did very well.

I will make a prediction though, Status Quo will be out next episode. I think it’s becoming clear that they aren’t the best dancers and are more about stunts than steps. As much as I want Breaks8 out, their clean routines…will make them outlast Status Quo.

kid Rainen (jabba…)

Compared to Jabba, Kaba are the underdogs. Sure, they are both dead on with isolations, hitting beats, and are also better than all the rest. I just thought Kaba’s advantage was that they could change things up since their boy to girl ratio is even. They can have two separate styles of choreography going on at the same time because of that split. Jabba usually just has that one person standing out and doing something different….”but still part of the group.” On top of that, Jabba’s tempo has always been the same…with the drumbeats being the only thing that makes them go faster. While they are entertaining….their energy level is predictable. I guess you can call it their style…which is a whole lot better than Status Quo who talk more about their stunts than dance.

Then I saw this…

I thought the crew only had one tempo they felt comfortable with, but seeing this guy on his own…..makes me feel like Jabba should win the whole thing. They just have more experienced choreographers. No offense to Jia and Mike Song……..

I’m still pulling for Kaba though…. I’m hoping they’ll break out some H.O.T.’s “We are the future!” …for some laughs.

America’s Best Dance Crew - Episode 4

Yup…Kaba “killed it.” (I hate that saying…) I’m biased so I’ll probably always say they had the most entertaining performance in my least favorite episode so far. Jabba’s performance was a tad boring this week. Although the Naruto wallpaper camouflage thing was pretty funny at the beginning and the payoff at the end was nice.

I also like when A.C. Slater starts talking about who’s on the bottom 3 and pairs up the stronger crew with the weaker one. The crew with less vote counts usually know they are in trouble and just start laughing in defeat. It’s cute, especially when Fysh & Chicks respond….

And I still can’t believe Breaksk8 is still around, especially over Live in Color. Either America is feeling sorry for the Memphis Grizzlies and their shiny rolling coins or they just don’t know any better. Live in Color’s (Trillanie Brown) enjoyable booty shaking does get old but they are far better dancers than those skaters. I even think Live in Color’s stage performance was stronger than Kaba’s…..it was like watching the Matrix without the wires and CG. I honestly thought they’d move on rather than Fysh & Chicks….

I also disagree with Shane, or whatever the Judge’s name is. Breaksk8 aren’t the most “versatile,” they are baby steppers using wheels as crunches to get votes. Lil Mamma also mocked fans sentiments by saying…”ooo, you can’t dance” or something like that. It’s not that they can’t dance….it’s that they can’t dance better with or without skates than the other crews. I will say this though, their performance on episode 4 was their best…even though they had no story.

Kaba Modern and Jabbawockeez 4th Performance

So I manage to watch the whole show on TV…for once! Taeko (aka Koi Fish) from Fish and Chicks is pretty hot. She always ends her performances with a little extra nuance of sass.

KABA

I actually enjoyed this performance more than the past few ones. If I had to guess, it was probably Mike who came up with the “hey” choreography in the beginning. It seems to be the pattern that the one responsible for the choreography is usually front and center….plus, the head moving side to side on a pendulum swing seems to be his thing.

At first, I thought the added “challenge” was just stupid. They should just let the dance crews do their thing. Eh, I still think it was dumb. Fish and Chicks probably had the hardest one…doing their choreography in rewind motion.

Even though Kaba’s lack of difficulty in “lifting” was true…it didn’t really matter because everything else was very entertaining, especially the facial expressions. Plus, when you probably have a whole University voting for you…it doesn’t matter what the judges say anyways. I still think one of Kaba’s strength is their transitions from dance style to dance style…it just shows off their range.

Note: They should of done the lift in this Video at (oo:1 8)

JABBA

JC is pretty articulate as a judge but I don’t think he should try so hard in looking for flaws just because it’s week 4…especially when the “walking” is part of the slow-mo choreography.

Kaba vs. Jabba this week…I’d have to go with Kaba for personal enjoyment.

Breaksk8.

I know a lot of people have been impressed with their “dancing” on skates but when you have a show titled the “Best Dance Crew,” the main focus should be on the dancing itself. Their supporters seem to be distracted by their skates, thinking it gives them an edge because of it’s level of difficulty. While it is probably hard to do what they do on skates…it doesn’t really mean anything. If they were to take off their wheels and just do their routines using Nikes, they’d have a much easier time.

So basically, the whole roller skates is a gimmick because they are giving themselves a handicap by putting those wheels on their own feet. It’s not that their moves are hard, it’s that they made easy moves harder. If they had missing limbs and used wheels to make up for what they lack, then it would be a different story.

I wish them the best, off the show.
