MUMBAI, India – It took just 10 young men armed with rifles and grenades to terrorize this city of 18 million and turn its postcard-perfect icons into battlefields until security forces ended one of the deadliest attacks in India’s history early Saturday.
After the final siege at the luxury Taj Mahal hotel, adoring crowds surrounded six buses carrying weary, unshaven commandos dressed in black fatigues, shaking their hands and giving them flowers. One of the commandos said he had been awake for nearly 60 hours since the assault began Wednesday. Another sat sipping a bottle of water and holding a pink rose. (source)
There’s nothing positive you can take away from a massacre that involves executing hostages bound and gagged. A lot of people will be effected by the lives lost and it will shake up many who lives to tell the tale. It was a senseless rampage and there is no justification for it, so I don’t care who screwed each other over for it to happen. However, if we are to take away something from it….it’s “fuck you you psychotic dipshits…you’re not the heroes.” India’s Commandos are…and I hope whomever set it up sees the media plastered with images of India’s people celebrating them. Granted, there is no victory…but just the fact they ended their run is enough to make them better human beings than those fucking douchebags.
