Obama related to Pitt, Clinton to Jolie

 jolie_l.jpg
By DENISE LAVOIE, Associated Press Writer Wed Mar 26, 7:53 AM ET

BOSTON - This could make for one odd family reunion: Barack Obama is a distant cousin of Brad Pitt, and Hillary Rodham Clinton is related to Pitt’s girlfriend, Angelina Jolie.

Researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society found some remarkable family connections for the three presidential candidates — Democratic rivals Obama and Clinton, and Republican John McCain.

Clinton, who is of French-Canadian descent on her mother’s side, is also a distant cousin of singers Madonna, Celine Dion and Alanis Morissette. Obama, the son of a white woman from Kansas and a black man from Kenya, can call six U.S. presidents, including George W. Bush, his cousins. McCain is a sixth cousin of first lady Laura Bush.(yahoo)

Being related to Jolie almost makes me want to vote for Clinton, it’s just too bad she gets caught in too many “calculated” situations.  You’re a politician Clinton, learn to lie without getting caught!

In a recent speech and interviews, the New York senator described a harrowing scene in Tuzla, Bosnia, in which she and her daughter, Chelsea, had to run for cover as soon as they landed for a visit in 1996. But video footage of the day showed a peaceful reception in which a young girl greeted the first lady on the tarmac. (kctv)

vote for the Jabbawockeez

Screw Minesweeper and playing Solitaire, if you’re stuck at work…vote for the Jabbawockeez or else! If you don’t vote, 6 days after the show…you’ll see a ring...and YOU’LL DIE!

So vote for the Jabbawockeez!!!

B-Boying and Nascar

As a spectator sport….they both have much in common. Everyone can dance or drive a car, but not many has the same body control and ability to navigate at top speed as those who actually live it. While some might find what I enjoy to be boring, like those who sit in lawn chairs and watch drivers go around in circles at 200mph….but when it comes to b-boying, I can’t help but admire complete body control and the use of music as ones vehicle.

Every other day…I come back to this clip and just watch. It’s B-boy Born at his best…clean but too short. That tease.

bored @ work……………….so, I took snapshots of the humble agency I work at.

Blade of the Immortal gets animated…

The best manga around that doesn’t involve big eyes, big boobs, and rated PG-13 action.

The May issue (on sale on March 25) of Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine will confirm that a television anime version of Hiroaki Samura’s Blade of the Immortal manga will premiere this summer in Japan. Tomokazu Seki (Escaflowne’s Van, Gungrave’s Beyond the Grave) will voice the main character Manji — a rōnin swordsman condemned to immortality unless he kills a thousand evil men for all the good men he killed. Rina Satou (Negima!’s Negi, Bamboo Blade’s Satori) will play Manji’s fellow traveler Rin. Hirofumi Nojima (Kagehisa Anotsu), Kazuya Nakai (Taito Magatsu), Masashi Ebara (Sabato Kurui), Katsuyuki Konishi (Eikū Shizuma), Daisuke Namikawa (Araya Kawakami), Mamiko Noto (Makie), Megumi Toyoguchi (Hyakurin), Toshiyuki Morikawa (Giichi), Shinichiro Miki (Shira), and Maaya Sakamoto (Machi) complete the cast.

Koichi Mashimo will direct the animators on Bee Train as he did for the .hack// franchise and Noir. Hiroyuki Kawasaki (The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Sorcerer Hunters) will oversee the scripts, and Yoshimitsu Yamashita (Murder Princess, Samurai Champloo animation director) will design the characters. Kō Ōtani (Ayakashi Ayashi, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing) will compose the music.

Dark Horse Comics publishes the manga in North America.

……I hope they choose hip hop beats in the music….like in Samurai Champloo and Afro Samurai.

This is Masiela Lusha, one of the actresses from Blood: The Last Vampire. She looks kind of creepy here…because I can’t tell if she’s a kid or an adult. It could be the over sized clothing and her large facial features. As an actual adult, she was pretty hot as the Europe born actress playing a Latina in George Lopez’s sitcom.
