America’s Best Dance Crew - Episode 4

Yup…Kaba “killed it.” (I hate that saying…) I’m biased so I’ll probably always say they had the most entertaining performance in my least favorite episode so far. Jabba’s performance was a tad boring this week. Although the Naruto wallpaper camouflage thing was pretty funny at the beginning and the payoff at the end was nice.

I also like when A.C. Slater starts talking about who’s on the bottom 3 and pairs up the stronger crew with the weaker one. The crew with less vote counts usually know they are in trouble and just start laughing in defeat. It’s cute, especially when Fysh & Chicks respond….

And I still can’t believe Breaksk8 is still around, especially over Live in Color. Either America is feeling sorry for the Memphis Grizzlies and their shiny rolling coins or they just don’t know any better. Live in Color’s (Trillanie Brown) enjoyable booty shaking does get old but they are far better dancers than those skaters. I even think Live in Color’s stage performance was stronger than Kaba’s…..it was like watching the Matrix without the wires and CG. I honestly thought they’d move on rather than Fysh & Chicks….

I also disagree with Shane, or whatever the Judge’s name is. Breaksk8 aren’t the most “versatile,” they are baby steppers using wheels as crunches to get votes. Lil Mamma also mocked fans sentiments by saying…”ooo, you can’t dance” or something like that. It’s not that they can’t dance….it’s that they can’t dance better with or without skates than the other crews. I will say this though, their performance on episode 4 was their best…even though they had no story.

Karaoke with Jack Johnson…

and what a hard song to sing….

First time I heard this song was when I was playing SSX3…still a good rap song.

B-Boy Born & a Street Fighter analogy

B Boy Born

Well known for hitting each beat and actually dancing to the music…but I just like how he cuts people off so they can’t do their thing. (01:13)

And the PLANET B-BOY OFFICIAL TRAILER…

And I will go see it…… :-D

Freaking A…I’m trying to learn the names of all the bboy moves and styles, but there’s so many. I think I’ll just stick to, “that’s COOL” and “ooooooooooooo.”

Now that I think about it some more…bboying is like Street Fighter. You have those different styles, moves, combos, and button mashing to the beats. Each bboy comes from a certain dojo….or studio, where a sifu teaches them the foundation. Then when they are ready, they go out and develop their own style so they can compete in world tournaments. While other people probably prefer actual kung fu stuff or mixed martial arts….I prefer two bboys battling it out. It’s just as intense, physically demanding, and has a better soundtrack.

Vigil this Thursday at UCLA for Mike Cho

Not too long ago, some OC cops shot and killed a Korean American because of vandalism. Then after shooting him 10 times, they reported his “vandalism” to his parents rather than his death, 3 hours after the shooting. Basically, the cops screwed up big time but not much was known until now.

In response to the event, I received this email.

PLEASE TAKE 2 MINUTES TO READ THIS!! This could have been your brother or friend!!!

Justice for Mike Cho and UCLA’s Korean American Students Association, Queer Alliance, and Asian Pacific Coalition are hosting a UCLA campus vigil for Michael S. Cho Thursday, February 28th, 7-10pm at the UCLA Bruin Plaza.

Everybody is welcome to bring instruments to play along with the crowd. If you knew Mike or work with a civil rights organizations and would like to speak at the event, please contact justiceformikecho@gmail.com. Please invite all friends to this event.

**How Mike was Shot and Killed***

Michael was leaving a liquor store at approximately 2pm when police officers confronted him with their guns drawn, suspecting him of vandalism. Michael, born with a lifelong leg disability, attempted to leave the scene peacefully. He was shot at least 10 times. The policemen justified the shooting by claiming that he was holding a tire iron in his left hand and made a “motion to attack”.

***Who is Mike Cho***

He was a UCLA alumnus who studied the arts. He expressed himself through music, sculpture, drawing and ceramics, which became his passion. In 2005, after graduating from UCLA, Cho went to South Korea to study traditional Korean ceramic art. He was also active in his church, where he taught art to disabled children. Cho planned to apply to Yale University’s master’s program in art and become a college professor.

Deadly police shooting in O.C. angers Korean Americans.

The purpose of this vigil is to make the La Habra City Council aware that the community is concerned by the questionable circumstances under which Michael was killed and that the community is seeking answers through means of a speedy and bias-free federal investigation.

La Habra’s Chief of Police confirmed that the two officers involved in Mike’s shooting are back on duty without any limitations. This was confirmed on February 19th, 2008 at the La Habra City Council meeting. The Mayor of La Habra was not informed that the Police Officers were back to duty.

T.I.P.(S.Korea) vs Dream Team Japan…

Sadly…I can’t tell which team belongs to which country. I’m trying to look for BBoy Snake’s signature twisty thing he does with his torso and legs….

but if I had to guess…..RIGHT SIDE is T.I.P., but…the crowd is cheering for them even though it’s a “Japanese Show”… hmmmmmmm

Part 2

Part 3

actually….T.I.P. is on the ride side, I’m sure of it! Part 1 (00:3 8) looks like Snake Boy. Plus, the routines looks like T.I.P.

Some Kollaboration 8 videos are up…
