JLA (Justice League of America) the movie is slated for 2010. Even though I’m not a DC comic fan, or a comic book fan in general anymore, I do appreciate iconic characters and how people will bring them to life. Besides, it’s Wonder Woman! The woman with a magic lasso, an invisible jet, and gifted things associated with an Amazon Princess, so how can I not pay attention? Although Megan Gale is not a bad choice considering I have no clue who she is, I think a better choice would have been the Bionic Woman, Michelle Ryan.

and in it is the return of Sung Kang as Han and my favorite alkie Michelle rodriguez.

Here’s what we know about the upcoming “The Fast and the Furious 4″ so far: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Jordana Brewster are back. And according to the guys over at Latino Review, who have read the script, also back is Michelle Rodriguez as Letty and Han (played by Sung Kang) from “Tokyo Drift”. Wait, didn’t Han died at the end of “Tokyo Drift”? Yes, he did, but it is believe that “FF4″ will be a prequel to FF4. Or at least, it’ll take place before the last movie. Unless, of course, they make this Han the other Han’s evil twin brother or something. (beyond hollywood)

I guess that’s what happens when you keep Justin Lin as the director, you bring back characters that are some of our favorites. Unfortunately, Paul Walker is back….who really doesn’t add anything to the franchise unless you’re a girl looking for man candy.

The manga based movie is slated for 2009 with James Cameron directing it.

Battle Angel Alita tells the story of Gally (Alita in the American version), an amnesiac female cyborg. This cyborg’s intact head and upper torso are found in a state of suspended animation by the cybermedic expert Daisuke Ido while he is out searching for useful scrap. Amazed by his discovery, Ido quickly returns home and works to revive her. Upon finding that the girl has lost her memory, Ido names her Alita, the name of his recently deceased cat. (wikipedia)

The Manga itself is kind of like Fox’s 24 series because almost everyone dies in it. If you’re an extra, an Asian janitor at CTU, or a supporting cast in it, you’ll get killed. However, you just won’t get shot or die from some chemical weapon, you’ll have your guts splattered all over the walls or have your brains eaten by a psychopathic cyborg. It’s a great series though with the main protagonist being shorter than Tila Tequila but is so badass she could take down Voltron if she had to.

However, the problem with making a real life movie out of this manga is that they need to cast someone who is able to go from sweet and innocent to cool, collected, and viciously cold hearted.

If I had any say in the casting I’d choose Chris Yen, Donnie Yen’s little sister. She does not have Donnie’s ego, she’s tiny like Alita, and she know’s kungfu. She would be so perfect for the role…..that it be a shame that she doesn’t try out for it.

…is that one crazed North Korean Mitch Leary who’ll meticulously plan out walking straight up to Kim Jong Il and blow his brains out. Why isn’t there that one desperate soul in North Korea who’d take that step? I know it’s not that simple and I know what I’m saying is stupid, but when I read articles about North Koreans suffering…it just pisses me off. If my grandmother hadn’t crawled over the line into the South, I could be in the North starving and on the verge of being tortured for saying “Kim Jong Il is a little bitch.”

It’s disheartening what’s going on over there. North Korea is already giving it’s land to China and pretty much becoming a province of it. People are being executed everyday just for making phone calls that are international. China is either turning North Korean refugees into slaves or sending them back to the North knowing very well they’ll be executed. A war is not what the North needs…but leaders of that nation certainly need to die. Yup, that means Kim Jong Il, so I hope that fat belly cow chokes on a chicken bone because I know he eats well while everyone else starves…

If that isn’t depressing enough, I listened to Jim Rome’s Sports Radio show the other day and heard Tracy Mcgrady talk about the genocide being carried out by the Sudan army. He explained how the tribal people known as the Darfar, were being tied together and thrown into burning huts alive. Women and children being raped, killed, and sold into slavery. Women going into the mountains for food knowing that they’d be raped because if they sent the men, they’d be killed and have their eyeless heads sent back to their wives.

Tracy did ask what the survivors wanted as help and it wasn’t money. What they wanted was justice, security, and a place to live in peace….but I doubt they’ll get retribution. There will be a documentary about it soon and that will hopefully bring more awareness to the genocide going down in Africa. With the Sudan government denying that they are financing these events, these people need a voice and a voice is a powerful weapon when it spreads.

But hearing these things makes me lose faith in people and our future together. Considering how I’m wishing the death of certain people surely doesn’t make me any better….but when all you got is thoughts in your head, it just brings the worse out from you.

Over the weekend, I hung out with a person I’ve been working with. Through her I met a CG animator who did some work on Battlestar Galatica, Halo 3, and now Sarah Connor Chronicles. It’s a new pilot for Fox and it’ll be based on the aftermath of Terminator 2 the movie….and someone just told me there are arleady trailers on Fox right now, but it’s all new to me.

…but I don’t think I would have cared so much if I didn’t know who’d be playing the role of John Connor’s terminating bodyguard.

Rivers from Firefly will be the new protective terminator for the series.

Old…but still funny. I see no reason why people need to prove to others why God exists. If you are secure with your beliefs then there should be no need to prove it to others…that is unless you’re a former child star like Kirk Cameron looking for media attention masked in faith.

I’m pretty much Agnostic. I believe anything is possible, whether there is a God or not is something I can’t prove or explain. No human being should believe they have the ability to interpret what a higher power has to say to others. I also don’t think religious fanatics should go out of their way and seek out believers…it should be the other way around. So these cheesy evangelists should stop being the Paris Hilton of their faiths and just live their lives according to their beliefs.
