If it isn’t worse enough that team USA had to compete against the Gamblerz…they then get booed by the crowd for trying to cut into one of their sets. Classic form for the Gamblerz here in this video…
Due to overwhelming support, we have had to expand the petition to a FOURTH page. Sign below and join the over 6000 other supporters!
Led by District 1 County Supervisor Gloria Molina, the L.A. Board of Supervisors has passed new restrictions that will effectively eliminate taco trucks from our streets. Under Supervisor Molina’s new rules, taco trucks will have to change location every hour, or face a misdemeanor charge carrying a $1000 fine and/or jail. Yes, jail.
Taco Trucks are a special facet of Los Angeles, and something we don’t want to lose. Though this ordinance currently affects just unincorporated parts of L.A., that’s 65% of the County. And of course it opens up the doors for legislation closer to home too.
Let’s send Gloria Molina and the L.A. Board of Supervisors a message that we cherish our local vendors and don’t want to see them move away. This new law needs to be repealed!
Even if you don’t eat at Taco Trucks or know what it is, the petition should be signed. It’s for a stupid law made by stupid people who pretend to be city officials looking to help the greater good. These officials are basically turning an affordable business structure and turning those using it into criminals simply for staying parked in one spot for more than a hour. There are far more important matters to look after than making it harder for people to make a honest living.
City officials shouldn’t get away with making stupid regulations like this one and this one should be put down.

SEOUL — South Korean dance group the Gambler will star in Paramount’s dance movie “Hype Nation,” having teamed up with U.S. music producer and rapper Teddy Riley.
In the $25 million picture being produced by Young Film, Riley plays a music director.
Helmed by Alex Calzatti (”I Am Cuba”), pic follows dance battles between the American R&B group B2K and Korean group the Gambler.
Production begins in the U.S. July 15 with some 40% lensing Stateside and 60% to be shot in South Korea.
Young Film prexy Young Lee, a Korean American producer who has previously partnered with American hip-hop artists, is now casting for a Korean female lead.
South Korea’s DR Music controls Asian rights for the musical content of the film. Company also expects to partner Paramount in the Korean market, though local investors and distribs were not disclosed. Pic will be released worldwide early 2009.
Riley has produced numerous albums by acts including Michael Jackson and Bobby Brown.

Why do you need a Korean female lead? Is there actually going to be a story? Hopefully it’ll be a documentary style film and not a “You Got Served” flick. Also, instead of using the Gamblerz…they should combine a crew again using Born, Darkness, Hong 10, Bruce Lee, The End, Physicx, Ducky, Skim & Wing, Baek, Trickz, and others…but the Gamblerz are a strong choice.
However, I’m not really sure why it should be the Gamblerz vs. B2K…..it doesn’t really make sense. Top Rocks & Power versus music video choreography & style…..I guess?

Quentin Taratino, Sasha Singleton, Kaba/Jabba, Se7en, Far East Movement, the Filipino from Black Eyed Peas, & Ron Jeremy….talk about an eclectic crowd. Expect to see more of Se7en around LA and SF…and maybe sponsoring Crown Royal.

Kt213: Hey Sam, give our viewers your 30-second intro!
SK: Haha. Well I am from Southern California and started playing guitar around 11 years ago. I began songwriting around 6 years ago and that has been what I have been focusing on ever since. Right now I’m working on an E.P. that I hope can be finished by the end of this upcoming summer so until then I’m playing a few shows and working with other musicians to get that done.Kt213: How would you best describe your music?
SK: I’m guessing it would be under r&b/ hip hop but i like the answer my friend gave when he said that it’s just Korean music.Kt213: Where do you draw inspiration from to keep doing what you love?
SK: That’s tough because I think it can come from anything but I guess it would generally come from the shared experiences I’ve gone through with my friends and family.Kt213: A lot of people thought you should’ve won in last year’s Kollaboration. Despite the loss, it sounds like you have a lot of support. How do you feel about that?
SK: Kollaboration is such a great channel for helping artists out and regardless of any prizes, it was pretty sweet being part of something that I think will have a historical significance to the Korean American Community in the future.Kt213: Where can we see more of you? Any future projects you like to share?
SK: As of now, I’m working on putting an album out. It’s going to be more of a compilation of all the songs I’ve been working on these past few years so that should be exciting. As for shows, I don’t have a set place I play at frequently but there will be random shows here and there that I’ll be doing along the way.Kt213: Sorry for the yearbook question, but where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
SK: Ha ha no way. I totally wished i had this question in my yearbook. I hope that I’m still doing something with music but there is always that getting married and starting a family that I look forward too. Hopefully I can do both ha ha.Kt213: What are your turn-on’s and turn-off’s?
SK: One of my top qualities in people is honesty. lying is not that way to go. also people who are confident and have good self control, just be cool. And it’s always good to meet someone who can think for themselves without you having to spell it out for them.Kt213: Where are some of your favorite places to hang out in K-Town?
SK: oh man. The food in k-town is so good that it doesn’t really matter. unless your talking about El Taurino. that place is where its at. i just love being in k-town whether it’s at a bar/club/restaurant. It reminds me of Korea and i feel comfortable minus the k-town girl checking you out for your money ha ha.Kt213: We thank you for your time Sam, and wish you the best of luck!
SK: for sure. anytime. glad to be off the hot seat!
It was a nice turn out last Friday…….too bad I don’t remember how I fell asleep in my car and Sam’s performance.
